I’ve been a reader for as long as I can remember. Like many teenagers, I grew up obsessed with romance novels-I even used to sneak my sister’s Jamsai Love Series books just to read them! I know I might not look like the type of guy who enjoys romantic fiction, but I truly do, and I still pick up new releases from time to time. Now, after years of reading, I’ve decided to step behind the scenes and write one myself.
The Abandoned Draft and the “Cringe” Realization
This isn’t my first attempt. During my last year of high school, I started a romance novel on Tunwalai. To my absolute shock, it racked up a thousand views in just a few days. But for some reason, I abandoned it.
Looking back at that draft on my Google Docs today, I’m actually glad I stopped. Reading it now makes me cringe-I find myself asking, “Why is he acting like that?” or “Why is she being so irrational?” It was a clear sign that I’ve grown, and it’s time to start something better, something more “real.”
A Love Story with an Aviation Twist
My new project focuses on a college romance, but with a twist that’s very close to my heart. Since I hold a degree in Aviation Management, the story will be set within an Aviation Program. Using my own background will allow me to bring a level of authenticity and detail to the setting that I couldn’t have achieved before.
I’ve already started the journey! Chapters 1 and 2 are complete, and I’ve even used Gemini to help prototype a cover, which turned out surprisingly well. I’ll be writing in Thai, as it’s the language of the novels I love most, and I plan to publish the finished work on ReadAWrite and MEB.
Writing is a journey of self-discovery, and I can’t wait to see where these characters take me this time.
What about you guys? Do you love writing or have a story tucked away in your drafts? I’d love to hear about your projects in the comments below!
