Thailand: The Land of Food and My All-Time Favorite Spots

Daily writing prompt
What is your favorite restaurant?

As you might have seen on TikTok, Thailand is truly a paradise for food lovers. Here, eating is a 24/7 activity, and you can find a great restaurant practically every 10 meters. For me, nothing beats Shabu and Moo-Kra-Ta (Thai-style BBQ). Most of the places I frequent fall into these two categories, and today, I’m going to share my absolute favorites for each.

The Best “Pay-Per-Order” Moo-Kra-Ta: Vasana Mookrata

If you’re looking for the best Moo-Kra-Ta that isn’t a buffet, Vasana Mookrata (Saimai Branch) is my top pick. It’s located on Saimai Road in Bangkok. Most foreigners might not know about it because it’s tucked away in the northern outskirts of Bangkok, but it is well worth the trip.

It’s not an all-you-can-eat place, but their sets are incredibly generous. For two people, the largest set is more than enough to leave you full and satisfied. My girlfriend and I make sure to visit at least once a month-it’s our “go-to” comfort food.

The Best Shabu Buffet: Suki-Teenoi

f you’ve ever been to Thailand, you might have heard of this one. My favorite buffet is definitely Suki-Teenoi. I don’t have a specific favorite branch because I’ve been to so many, and the quality is consistent across the board.

Suki-Teenoi is a Shabu buffet where you order everything through your phone, and the best part? The food is served by robots! It’s a fun, modern experience that you have to try if you’re in Thailand. You get a full 2 hours to eat, which is plenty of time to satisfy your cravings without feeling rushed. So, take your time and enjoy every bite!

Yes, all of this is included with the buffet.
This is the robot I mentioned.

Everything at these places is just delicious-which might be the real reason why it’s so hard for me to lose weight! But when the food is this good, it’s hard to say no.

What about you guys? What’s your favorite restaurant? Have you ever come to Thailand and try out the ones I mentioned? Let me know in the comment!
